A little bit about me

Born in Chicago, my interest in photography began with a 35mm camera owned by my Dad whle he served with the U.S. Army. The idea of being able to capture and keep a moment in time was nothing short of fascinating to me.

I quickly took an interest in creative images of most any subject and eventually acquired 35mm and medium format cameras which were put to good use during my years with the High School newspaper.

After High School, I was fortunate to land a job as a lab tech and photographer which gave me access to and experience with professional equipment along with a thorough understanding of both location and studio photography with those techniques and skills still in use today.

Military service followed and provided me the opportunity to travel to, photograph and live in many places most people could only dream of.

After military service, settling in Virginia Beach led to considerable portrait and wedding photography for a successful local studio while today I enjoy concentrating on portraiture.

Knowing the value of capturing that special moment in time produces timeless keepsake images that only have more value as time passes. Contact me today and together, let's create keepsake photography that will become family favorites!
